The self-proclaimed "always tells the truth" Winston Wu has the following entry
on his résumé
(click here for a copy taken in
January, 2009 in case he has now deleted or changed it):
Web Advertising Developer/Travel Consultant
Self-Employed with Partner
Hilo,
HI and
Manila area of Philippines
2006 - Present
·
Expanded friend’s medical website
of over 3,000 medical web pages which displayed Google
Adsense pay-per-click online ads that brought in a
daily revenue of an average of $400 per day.
·
Served as travel assistant and
consultant to friend during our trip to the
Philippines.
I was chosen for my international travel experience, multi-cultural
knowledge and other intangible qualities that the owner admired.
Prepared and organized many details associated with transportation and
accommodation.
·
With the help and guidance, I
designed my own websites to share my knowledge and experiences to the world,
gradually expanding them daily. Learned skills such as
web design and HTML. Implemented a variety of online
pay-per-click advertising and affiliate programs into my site to generate my own
residual income. Kept up to date with the latest web
technologies and tools, such ad context-driven ad technology, by researching
news, blogs, and forums.
Now, please bear in mind that I, the owner of Winston-Wu.com, am also the owner
of the "medical website" that he refers to above. I am the same person,
and own the same company, against which Mr. Wu, a disgruntled ex-employee, continues to make
libelous
statements at every opportunity.
We have all heard about 'padding' one's résumé, but this reaches new extremes in
the realm of fiction. He makes the following claims:
- That he is currently employed by myself, despite having been fired nearly 2 years ago at
time of writing (January, 2009);
- That he has worked for me "2006 - Present", when in fact he only worked
(part-time and utterly ineffectively) from October, 2006 until March, 2007;
- To have been a "Web Advertising Developer" when, in fact, his
job was errand boy (the truth seeps out in his words above, 'travel assistant', 'travel consultant',
'transportation and accommodation arranger');
- That he is my "partner" and "friend", despite having undertaken a
pathological online libel campaign that gave birth to the web site you are now
reading;
- That he is responsible for the programming and expansion of a successful
medical web site when in fact
(a) it existed in its entirety and was earning
full
Google Adsense revenue a full 2 years prior to his employment;
(b) due to his incompetence, he was not allowed
anywhere near the database, system or web site;
(c) he did not even know what 'HTML' stood for at the time of his
employment.
- That he created content of this medical web site which, elsewhere, he claims is 'plagiarized';
- That he was (and apparently continues to be) employed by myself, when elsewhere he
claims that his entire employment was a 'tax fraud';
- That he has worked in Hilo (Hawaii) and Manila. He has never worked
in either place;
- That he was hired because of 'intangible qualities' as he writes above.
Indeed, lacking any tangible qualities (hence the
necessity to fill his résumé
with falsehoods) and through my initially not being aware of his true character, I gave the poor slob a chance. He failed in every
respect, from being unable to perform even the simplest of tasks reliably to
lapsing into the following 'work' schedule:
- Going out at approximately 6pm each evening to cruise the
Fields Avenue red
light district of Angeles City, Philippines
- Coming back anywhere between 1am and 5am, with or without a prostitute
depending on his success and stamina
- Sleeping until the afternoon
- Eating, occasionally bathing and making an attempt at work, before repeating
the cycle.
Unfortunately, an employee who makes himself available at 3pm and has only sex
on the brain (and/or a bar girl in his bedroom) is as close to useless as one
could hope for.
- That, through my help and guidance, he was able to put up his own web site.
Indeed, in anticipation of firing him and not wishing him to be stuck without
income, I did suggest that he start his own income-producing web site. He even admits
above that
he "learned skills such as web design and HTML"... after he was
supposedly 'working
as a web developer' on a high profile web site.
Extrapolating from the veracity of his many patently false claims in even this
short passage from his résumé, which also used to list 'actor' and 'playboy' among
his 'qualifications', the discerning among us can judge his other claims as they
relate to myself, my web site, his success with women and his good character.
For any employers considering employing Mr. Wu, do feel free to contact me for a
reference... and be sure to interrogate him carefully about each and every time
period during which he claims to have been employed.
